The columns are actually what I call sliver fields. They have white font and are a 0 width and appear in MS-Excel (Data Only) exports. I think the number of columns between the original position and other position would be 15 sliver fields and maybe 3 columns that you can see.
Unfortunately, I had to scrap the whole thing - but I learned a lot.
Would you share with me your other way of doing this?
I'd really appreciate it.
