Discount by bought quantity Query

Hi,

does anyone know a query which returns the correct Free and PaidFor quantities when I define a discount by bought quantity and enter the Paid Qty, Free Qty and Max. Free Qty?

Following the example in the help is pretty easy to understand that scenario but when I enter different values I just can't figure out how it works.
