I do not think you may have access to that in the HCP trial system. I also tried a similar scenario where I created a table and was also able to create an odata service but I never got the service to return data from the view/table due to insufficient privileges, even though I was able to query the table and view directly on my sql console (HCP trial) and my service activated and ran successfully (just not the end point)
