We already decided to get as much away of storing in files and or Registry. I´ve seen the same code not finding entries in the registry and then, when called elsewhere or from another window, it does find it, same computer, same application, same moment and same code.
Not to mention Citrix and working with or without Office versions before or after Win7 - Win2008R2 (when registry reflection existed). Last but not least: Now we have PB 12.6 added to the mix.
As a resume: Store as much settings in the Database as you can, that´s my advice.
