Hi Velumani,
If you have the latest version of SAP ECC then VIM (also now called as SAP Invoice Management i.e. SIM) comes along with it. It is version 7.0 and there is no installation required. No customization required in SAP FI.
Quick check:
1) Go to SPRO and see if you find the link shown below.
2) Execute T-Code /n/opt/vim_analytics. If the t-code works then also you can be rest assured that VIM is available.
I have worked on 3 versions of VIM. Earlier, OpenText VIM was not part of SAP and then we required help from OpenText in installation. Now since it comes with SAP package hence there is no need for installation.
Now, if you have any issues then you can raise incident in SAP service market place for VIM (if it is available in your SAP package)
You have to be careful with following before you configure VIM for DP document
1) ArchiveLink set up
2) OCR set up
3) ICC set up (in case you are using it)
