Can't edit status on Z_Request of Change

Hi Community,

 

I hope someone out there can help me with this.

 

A while back we set up ITSM on solution manager 7.1. We configured the system for incidents and problems. During testing a user accidentally created a request for change which wasn't fully configured because we didn't intend on using it. Now there is a request for change message left with status created. Even while in edit mode the status remains grayed out. We would like to withdraw or confirm this so it doesn't show up in open messages. I have searched for an answer but have had no luck. I found the discussion at this link Edit Status for end user in ITSM | SCN, but the solution to add new status codes to withdraw and confirm under specify the status mapping for customer status profile didn't fix our issue. My user has SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW.
