Where did that mapping occur? was it in AIF Value mappings or in an Action after the AIF mappings are done?
If in the Action, I also think it depends on how you configured your Action - did you set it to Stop on Error to allow you to re-process the same data (XML file) from the point where it errored? Or will it pass through and complete every time?
We have both types of scenarios .. but, our external to internal interface always allows every record to come through no matter what error has occurred so we can guarantee delivery.
If there is an error in the mapping, we either correct it at the source (if applicable) or add it to the AIF Value Mapping (or Z-table mappings in the Action) and re-pull the transaction from the external system.
