Now i can confirm that the values which you are getting in fiscal year period column is correct and as per the definition of variant.
If you look closely at table contents then you will understand.
For calday value 17.08.2014.
The fiscal year period value will 2015002 and this is what you are getting.
As per the table for month 8 the period value is 2 and there is a shift of +1 in calyear so the year becomes 2015.
And after combining these values as per the format of fiscal year period you get 2015002.
